Not far away from the house you can see the mill on the river Mura. In the floating mill also known by the name Babičev mill the Babič family is still grinding grain in the ancient way. You can also buy their products.

In Krapje, village next to Veržej (on the picture) you can visit the beekeeping museum.

In a few kilometres distant Banovci you can enjoy the thermal whater in Banovci Thermal Spa, where they also have an area for nudist bathers.

Ljutomer is the centre of Prlekija and only few kilometres from Veržej. You can take a walk in the old town centre of or visit the well know horse track and watch the horse race every Sunday in summer time.

From Ljutomer you can go to Jeruzalem, a place know for its excellent white wine and enjoy the view of terraced vineyards, which are ranging across Jeruzalemske gorice.

The road to lake Gajševci will take you to to the heart of vinyard Slovenske gorice and to spa Bioterme Mala Nedelja.
